Knowing how to recognize a suspicious email is an important piece of knowledge. But once you’ve come across an email that you think is illegitimate, what are you then supposed to do with it? Knowing what to do with suspicious emails when you receive them is a critical aspect of cyber security.
When you get an email that looks suspicious the overall rule of thumb to avoid trouble altogether is by not engaging with the messages in the first place.
Then to report the email to Tech, in your AISJ mailbox you can easily follow the below steps to report a suspicious email, this will log a ticket to TECH and we'll investigate and report back on our findings.
In your AISJ Gmail account, you will see the Report email button circled in red below. Click on the email you want to report then click on the Report button.

Now you should see the button Send for Analysis.
Once submitted you will get the screen below saying the email was successfully reported.
