Welcome from the AISJ Technology Office. We are looking forward to you joining AISJ, and excited to meet you in person.
The links in this section provide information to help new students transition smoothly to the technology systems in use at AISJ, and provide a set of 'quick links' to the essential information most new students will need.
AISJ Username and Email Address:
Your parents should have received an email about two weeks before you are due to start at AISJ, listing your AISJ network account username, email address, and temporary password.
You will need this information to log into the various systems listed below.
Please email the Tech Office (ticketing@aisj-jhb.com) if you have not received your AISJ account details.
AISJ systems and accounts:
Click this link for a General Intro to the AISJ systems and accounts. Bookmark the General Intro link in your browser.
The password above is temporary and will allow you to access various AISJ resources until you arrive on site at AISJ. When you arrive on campus, we will help you reset your password.
Ensure you have a laptop for use at school:
All MS & HS students new to AISJ from August 2022 are required to provide their own Apple MacBook laptop to support learning at school.
The recommended minimum specifications are:
not older than five years
i5 or M1 processor or better
8GB RAM or higher
256Gb SSD or higher
13inch screen or larger
Parents are free to use a suitable device they may already own or they can purchase a new MacBook from a provider of their choice. Parents can purchase an Apple MacBook from Digicape, the Apple reseller the school uses, at the same educational discounted price that the school receives. A dedicated purchase portal has been set up to make purchasing by parents who choose Digicape as straightforward as possible. Click here (https://www.digicape.co.za/aisj/) to register and view the Digicape Purchase Portal. Enter this school registration code when prompted: ‘vBjjo28G’. Purchase prices listed on the portal may change from time to time due to currency fluctuations. Click here to view the Digicape flyer.

Log in to your AISJ Google Chrome Profile
AISJ is a ‘Google School’. Google Workspace is our core productivity suite, and at the core of all we do. Accessing Google Workspace tools such as Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar is so much easier when using Google Chrome. Creating a Chrome Profile for your AISJ account gives you ready access to all the Google apps.
If you are using an Apple Mac:
Launch Google Chrome, click the Profiles menu and select Add Profile. Click the Sign In button to set up your new Chrome profile, and enter your AISJ account email address and password.
If you are using a Windows PC:
Launch Google Chrome, click the Chrome Profile icon at the top right of the Chrome window.
A menu will open, click on ‘Add’ (at the bottom of the window)
Follow the onscreen instructions to add a new Chrome Profile using your AISJ email address and password.
You can keep more than one profile in Chrome. You can have an AISJ Chrome Profile and a personal Chrome Profile if you have a personal Google account. You can quickly flip between the two profiles through separate Chrome windows.
We strongly recommend you keep communications, emails, files and activities related to your AISJ identity separate from communications, emails, files and activities related to your personal identity. Separate Chrome profiles are a way to efficiently achieve this. With your move to AISJ, maintain existing accounts and communications with your personal email and drives. Link new online accounts, mobile phone communications, personal emails, to your personal email account and storage drive.
Log into your AISJ Email Account:
If you are logged into your AISJ account in Chrome:
Click on the Google Apps waffle (the nine dots towards the top right of the Chrome window), and click on ‘Gmail’. Your AISJ Gmail account will open in a new Chrome tab.
