Clips is a fun, FREE, and easy to use video creation app from Apple.
Clips is great for ANYONE looking for a filmmaking tool on their iOS device (iPads/iPhones) to easily produce some fun and engaging videos.
Clips is especially great for for beginners to use, and it's a great first tool to learn to use to get a better understanding of the filmmaking process.
Clips is available for both iPad and iPhone, but there currently is no desktop version.
If you would prefer working on your Mac computer, iMovie would be the next best option, however, Clips is great for making fun videos with friends and family on the go,
The best feature of clips is its intuitive design, and ease for new users to jump right in and start creating.
In addition to this, Clips utilises the same technology your iOS device has built into it's camera for AR to create a variety of unique visual effects that can be easily added to your videos.

iMovie is one of the most accessible and commonly used FREE movie making apps from Apple, available for both Mac and iOS devices.
iMovie is great for all amateur movie makers on a budget and anyone looking to start creating videos with basic editing techniques and effects.
The main functions between the two versions are typically the same, however, there are some variations between the two. Generally, the MacOS version has more capabilities to edit your videos with finer precision. Though, there are some features that are only available on the iOS device.
