GarageBand can be for anyone who wants to create music or record audio. Students and creators of all ages and skill levels can use GarageBand to make music on their choice of either iPad or Mac computer.
For younger students, it's recommended to start learning on the iPad, as this version is specifically designed to be easy to use, however, both versions are similar.
Although both versions are similar, there are some key differences. One of which, is the ability to customise your music with greater detail on the MacOS version. The iOS version has been made to specifically be simple and easy to use, which limits some of its functionality
