Frisbee is a recreational activity that has many opportunities for students to participate in outside of school and throughout their life. This unit incorporates fundamental disc skills, team cooperation, individual skill application to help improve students skills and knowledge with frisbee. Students will work on improving their throwing and catching skills while promoting social interaction and engagement in a lifelong activity. This unit is designed on the learn, practice, play model to support student development.
Student Learning Outcomes:
Students will demonstrate basic disc skills including throwing and catching.
Students will understand basic rules of frisbee games (ultimate & disc golf).
Students will demonstrate cooperation during disc activities.
Unit Plan
This unit is 5 days - building on introductory skills and progressing over the days.
