This is a continuation of Junior year's Head shots and Resume Unit.
If you don't have a head shot or are planning to get professional ones done, please refer back to the Head Shot Unit.
You want to make sure your Theatre resume is updated with your most recent work and that it is in PROPER FORMAT.
To make sure your Theatre resume is up to par, please refer back to the Theatre Resume Unit.

STEP 3: Choose a Web Builder
In this unit, you will need to establish a personal email and choose a free website builder that you can maintain after you leave ACIT.
Your ACIT email and any work, photos on your drive, or websites you created on it will no longer be available after you graduate. This is an opportunity for you to back up your work.
If you have a Gmail, you can create a Google site.
Here are some to look at
Wix – Best All-Around Website Builder.
Weebly – Ideal for Small Businesses.
SITE123 – Great Design Assistance.
WordPress – Perfect for Blogging.
Strikingly – Made for Simple Websites.
Jimdo – Small Online Store Builder.
SimpleSite – Great Mobile Editor.
Webnode – Quick and Easy Setup.
IM Creator – Great for White Label Businesses.
Mozello – Create Simple Multilingual Sites.

STEP 4: About Me/ Bio
Write an "About Me" section or a "Biography"
Let your personality show. Serious or humorous?
If you aren't high profile, write in first person as opposed to third.
Talk about your education, skills, and passion for your work.
Don't be too lengthy.
Check out some from the samples above.
STEP 5: Plan your layout
Think about and plan out what sections/tabs you would like to include.
Mandatory:
About Me or Bio (with favorite headshot)
Resume (with downloadable pdf if possible)
Photos or Gallery (possibly include sub-sections)
Other headshots
On stage or screen (in character, action shots)
Behind the scenes (putting on make up, etc.)
Model shots
Contact
Additional or Extra:
Media or Videos, voice over reel (Do not include links to entire shows! Only highlights or clips of you)
Photography or Art (If you take photos or make art)
Writing (writing samples of poetry, short stories)
Film (If you are into filmmaking and have directed, produced, or edited video)
Add a favorite quote that represents you- be sure to attribute the author
Anything else? Just ask
STEP 6: Find your photos and videos
Sometimes we tend to not think about organizing our pictures or videos until we need them. Then we are scrambling to search through old phones, files, social media to find what we are looking for.
This may be the time you take to create a digital catalog of your professional work for easy access.
If you have a personal Google account, you can store on Google Photos. Other photo storage sites include...OneDrive, Flickr, Dropbox, Adobe Creative Cloud, pCloud, IDrive and others. Some are free up to a certain storage capacity, then there is a fee. Start thinking for the future.
Mrs. Volpe will be sharing her Drive with you, which is organized by Event or Year.
It will take you a while to search through hundreds of photos to find photos/videos of you.
Do not just save them to your school drive! Download ONLY pictures of you to a device and then save somewhere safe.
STEP 7: Begin Constructing Your Site
Now that you have a design plan and the items to include, you can now add them to your site.
Make sure you have at minimum the Mandatory sections (see above).
Contact Information: Usually you will put your agent’s contact information. However, at this time you can include:
Your professional email address
Links to your professional social media. Do not use personal social media. As a performer, you should have social media for your professional work and where you are seen as a public figure. If you do not have any, do not include them.
This site is intended to be something you can build upon as you grow your career. You can always add more later, or take things away.
If as an adult and graduate, you create a different professional site or use a designer, please send me the link.
