About Mrs. Volpe

Mrs. Volpe is a 1999 graduate of Absegami High School. She was involved in Drama Club, plays and musicals, Student Council, Media (Gami TV), ITS, Computer Club, Culture Club and more. She was also a cheerleader for eleven years for football and competition. 

Mrs. Volpe is a 2003 graduate of Montclair State University, earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Theatre with a concentration in Acting. She received the Dennis K. McDonald Award for most promising actor. Mrs. Volpe also attended a study abroad program at the Globe, Royal National Theatres, and Stratford-Upon-Avon in England in 2001. She is a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society and Delta Phi Epsilon International Sorority.

In 2006 Mrs. Volpe received her BA in Teacher Education, and is highly qualified in English/ Literature from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. 

She began teaching at Middle Township High School in 2006. She taught English, TV Broadcasting, Advanced TV and Theatre. She also directed the Fall Drama Production, was Advisor to the Drama Club, and ran the Panther News Network (PNN). 

In 2014 Mrs. Volpe was awarded the Faculty Pioneer award by Atlantic Cape for her contributions to the communication field through her teaching and professional work.

In September 2014, Mrs. Volpe left Middle Twp. to begin a new and exciting journey working at The Atlantic County Institute of Technology where she taught Media. Her students garnered four awards the first year. She started the Red Hawk Media Youtube Channel and advised the Media Club.

In 2015 Mrs. Volpe returned to her roots by taking over the Drama Instructor position in the Academy of Performing Arts and became director of the annual Musical. She continues to grow the program, offer new opportunities to her students, and find new ways to share her love of theatre!

On the personal side, Mrs. Volpe has been married to Mr. Volpe for 20 years. They have two wonderful teen boys. One of Mrs. Volpe's favorite places to be is at the Ocean City beach enjoying her children and nature.
