We share information with parents in a variety of ways. We e-mail a newsletter to parents every Friday with relevant updates about what has happened over the week and what to expect in the week coming.
Each class has either Seesaw (P2, P1 and ELC) or a Google Classroom. This is where class teachers will post homework and relevant information for their class. Children in P3-P7 should log in to their Google account and access Google Classroom to show their parents the latest news. Parents of P1 and P2 pupils will receive login details for accessing Seesaw from the school.
School Diaries are purchased for pupils by the Parent Council. Messages can be written by teachers, parents and pupils through the diaries. Teachers collect diaries in the morning to check for messages from parents. Parents are encouraged to check diaries as well for messages from school.
Every week we have an assembly and part of the assembly time is dedicated to Shout Outs for special achievements children have outside of school. Parents can send a message to the class teacher via diaries if their child has a special achievement they want recognised in assembly.

We welcome everyone back to school for the 2025/26 school year. It was fabulous to see everyone return to school.
You may be aware Scotland’s education system is being reformed, this includes the creation of a new qualifications body, Qualifications Scotland, and a new education inspectorate, with further changes to national education public bodies occurring throughout the upcoming school year. Improvements to the curriculum and approach to qualifications, and assessment are also planned in the coming years. This work will enhance outcomes for children and young people educated in Scotland with the aim of ensuring excellence and equity by raising standards and giving every child and young person the same opportunity to succeed. Further information can be found on the Scottish Government’s website.
The city library service asked pupils across the city to design a logo for the Aberdeen Reads banner. Aberdeen Reads is a summer reading challenge to children across the city to promote reading during the school holidays. One of our pupils, Sam, won the contest and his fabulous drawing will be used in the official promotional materials! Well done Sam!
