Homework

Through comsultation with parents, pupils and teachers we have created a homework policy which takes into account the varying needs of familes and children.

We do assign weekly homework. Homework at Hazlehead will be allocated on a Friday to be handed in by the following Wednesday. No homework will be given during the holiday periods.

Organisation of homework:

● Each child will be offered a homework jotter to complete homework. Assignments will usually be assigned online.

● Parents can choose for homework to be completed in a jotter or online. Parents can request a homework jotter from the class teacher.

● Jotters are to be handed in to the teacher for marking. All homework will be given feedback by the teacher.

● Each child has a diary which is used as a home school link. The homework diary is checked regularly by teachers.

● Feedback will be given to pupils in their diaries relating to reading (P1-P4)

● Reading books should be brought daily to school.

● Parents are asked to check and sign homework.
