FOUNDATIONS

1. Teach critical thinking:
   • Encourage curiosity
   • Provide opportunities for role-play
   • Pause and wait. Don't intervene immediately
   • Ask open-ended questions
   • Help children develop hypotheses ("If we do this, what do you think will happen?" or "Let's predict what we think will happen next.") --> Encourage critical thinking in new and different ways
2. Fun and engaging (more visual aids)
3. Able to learn more words and sentences
4. Encourage students to continue studying English and staying in school
