Students who are interested in taking a CR at the University of Michigan, please read the following information that was shared with AAPS by UM.
Students are welcome to contact instructors through the umich.edu email listed on the LSA course catalog page. Please identify yourself as an Ann Arbor Public Schools Community Resource student.
Be aware that many English courses are limited by seating to the point where adding even one student may be impossible.
100 & 200-level English courses are most appropriate for Community Resource students. 100-level classes are intended for first-year college students with general interests in English studies (literature, language, rhetoric, and writing). For students who think they may be English majors in college, we also encourage one of our 200-level courses as they are designed to educate students with key concepts and practices of literary study.
Because certain courses are designed as progressions from preceding courses, require advanced college-level skills, or are both small-by-design and heavily-in-demand by UM students the following courses should be excluded from consideration for Community Resource enrollment:
124, 125, 126, 323, 324, 423, 424, 425
