For Students
There are two application windows to accommodate course registration: The first window is for any student who can plan ahead, and allows CHS students to include the CR as part of their schedule during the CHS course registration. The second window is for students who want to take a CR at UM, or those who didn't know during the first window that they intended to take a CR. Any student can apply during either window, and only needs to apply once. A CR application is not considered complete until the paperwork is turned in to the CR Department.
Notes:
A CR Monitor will contact the CR Instructor for the approval process. The CR Monitor will notify students if their course is approved or denied.
A CR class will be added to a student's schedule only after it has been approved.
A CR class follows the same drop deadline and grade reporting as all classes. CR Monitors are the only people who can drop a CR from a student schedules.
A CR Monitor will contact the CR Instructor 4 - 5 times over the course of the semester.
The student must provide the CR Monitor with documentation of completed work and/or a journal of activities several times over the course of the semester.
All students taking a CR will need to submit a weekly summary on the AAPS Schoology platform.
All students will need to attend a CR Orientation.
