Description

The people of Nicaragua have a particular affinity for Nuestra Señora Del Perpetuo Socorro or Our Lady of Perpetual Help.  One interesting miracle that the people in Nicaragua recount took place in the city of Managua. In 1972, there was an earthquake that had completely destroyed a cathedral. After inspecting the rubble, it was discovered that the part of the cathedral that housed the image of Nuestra Senor Del Perpetuo Socorro was not harmed. The people of Managua believed this to be a miracle. Her feast day is universally observed on June 27.
