Rotation Information/Orientation
The rotation is made of different Neurology Clinics at different locations throughout Edmonton. The resident is responsible for organizing his or her own clinic schedule with different preceptors using the clinic booking spreadsheet. Please review the objectives for the rotation located below.
Clinics must be in Edmonton as you must be available for call.
Please start organizing your clinics at least 4 weeks prior to rotation.
Duration: 1 month to 2 months
Call: Neurology Senior call as required. You will respect PARA for post-call days, and if you are in-house after midnight, then will go home post-call the next morning. If you are not in-house after midnight, you may attend clinic the next day, but when scheduling clinics, please ask that no patients be double-booked for you in case you may be post-call.
Assessment: There will be evaluation of overall rotation objectives. You will be observed by each preceptor you spend time with on a daily basis. There are a range of clinical scenarios you should attempt to see and/or experience during the rotation.
