During this rotation neurology residents will get exposure to MS, and learn about it’s diagnosis, differential diagnosis, and management. Residents will also gain exposure to other neurologic inflammatory disorders.
When: May occur within PGY-3, PGY-4 or PGY-5
Duration: 4 weeks
Preparation: 1 month prior to your rotation you should ensure that the coordinator, staff and administrative assistants are aware of your rotation. A schedule of clinics for your rotation will then be created. Note there are opportunities to work with community neurologists who manage MS patients during this rotation – although ample notice is required.

Evaluations: There will be evaluation of overall rotation objectives and specific objectives for each 2 week unit. An evaluation will occur at the midpoint and end of the rotation.
Call: Resident will do senior neurology home call during this rotation. As required, residents will be expected to let the clinics know in advance when they will be post call and may have difficulties attending clinics or those days.
