Please be kind to the transcriptionists - DO NOT access the dictation system while:
in a noisy environment (ie, background noise, side conversations, nursing unit, operating room scrub station, etc.)
eating, chewing gum, eating candy, etc.
using a cordless phone or other wireless device - signal/reception fluctuates
using a phone line with static - if you can hear static on the line please do not continue to dictate
in a hurry - ensure you speak clearly at a slow steady pace, as if you were speaking to a patient
By following all of the above points, you will enable the transcriptionists to transcribe your dictation in an efficient, accurate and productive manner. This will in turn, improve the quality of your transcribed documents and the overall turnaround time for the transcription of all dictation reports on the Regional dictation system.
Before you pick up the phone to dictate, please be ready with your:

- Last name
- CPSA Education or Courtesy
