Definition of our Product Liability Coverage.


We will indemnify You against any legal liability, which You are legally obligated to pay as damages for personal injury or property damage arising out of your products, which are manufactured, sold, handled, distributed, or disposed of by You. You are also indemnified against personal injury or property damage arising out of warranties and representations made by you with respect to fitness, quality, durability, performance, or use of Your products; and providing of or failure to provide warnings or instructions.

What are the covers / benefits provided?


This policy will indemnify You up to the limit of indemnity when You are legally liable to pay as damages for:  

a) Bodily Injury to third party; or  

b) Damage to third party’s tangible property arising from the consumption or use of your products. Duration of cover is for one year.  You need to renew your insurance policy annually.

Product Liability Insurance indemnifies the insured for sums which the insured becomes legally liable to pay for: i. Bodily injury (including death or disease) to any person; ii. Property Damage arising from accidents caused by anything harmful in any products of your business during the policy period. Duration for cover is one year. You will need to renew the insurance plan annually. 




Polisi ini akan menanggung rugi Anda sehingga had indemniti apabila Anda bertanggungjawab secara sah untuk membayar ganti rugi untuk:

a) Kecederaan Badan kepada pihak ketiga; atau

b) Kerosakan kepada harta ketara pihak ketiga yang timbul daripada penggunaan atau penggunaan produk anda. Tempoh perlindungan adalah selama satu tahun. Anda perlu memperbaharui polisi insurans anda setiap tahun.

Insurans Liabiliti Produk menanggung rugi pihak yang diinsuranskan untuk jumlah yang diinsuranskan menjadi bertanggungjawab di sisi undang-undang untuk membayar: i. Kecederaan badan (termasuk kematian atau penyakit) kepada mana-mana orang; ii. Kerosakan Harta yang timbul daripada kemalangan yang disebabkan oleh apa-apa yang berbahaya dalam mana-mana produk perniagaan anda sepanjang tempoh polisi. Tempoh perlindungan adalah satu tahun. Anda perlu memperbaharui pelan insurans setiap tahun. 


当您在法律上有责任支付以下损害赔偿时,本保单将向您提供最高赔偿限额:

a) 对第三方的人身伤害; 或者

b) 因消费或使用您的产品而对第三方的有形财产造成的损害。 保险期限为一年。 您需要每年更新您的保单。

What do I have to pay in addition to the Premium? 

• Stamp duty – RM10 • Tax (where applicable) – 6% on the premium (included in the premium) • Commission (included in the premium) paid to the Insurance Intermediary (if any) – maximum up to 25% of premium.

What are some of the key terms and conditions that I should be aware of?


• Importance of disclosure       

Your duties to us for non-Consumer Insurance Policy      

As this Policy is not a Consumer Insurance Policy, before this policy contract is entered into, varied, or renewed,  You have a duty to disclose to Us any matter that:      

(a) You know to be relevant to  Our decision on whether to accept the risk or not and the rates and terms to be applied; or

(b) a reasonable person in the circumstances could be expected to know to be relevant.   “Consumer Insurance Policy” means a contract of insurance entered into, varied, or renewed by an individual wholly for his/her own purposes unrelated to the individual’s trade, business, or profession. 

A non-Consumer Insurance Policy is a policy other than a Consumer Insurance Policy. 

• An appropriate limit of indemnity is taken up.     

• Deductible – the amount of which is to be borne by the Insured in the event of a claim 

• This insurance is subjected to 60 days Premium Warranty, i.e. premium due must be paid and received by Us within sixty (60) days from inception. Failing which, the policy is automatically canceled and 60 days pro-rated premium shall be entitled to Us.  In the event of any occurrence that is likely to give rise to a claim, You have to give written notice to Us of such claim as soon as possible after it comes to Your knowledge. The above is a summary of certain key terms and conditions of the policy and is non-exhaustive. Please read the policy contract for the full terms and conditions of the insurance.

Kewajipan anda kepada kami untuk Polisi Insurans bukan Pengguna

Memandangkan Polisi ini bukan Polisi Insurans Pengguna, sebelum kontrak polisi ini dimeterai, diubah atau diperbaharui, Anda mempunyai kewajipan untuk mendedahkan kepada Kami sebarang perkara yang:

(a) Anda tahu adalah relevan dengan keputusan Kami sama ada untuk menerima risiko atau tidak dan kadar serta terma yang akan digunakan; atau

(b) seseorang yang munasabah dalam keadaan itu boleh dijangka tahu sebagai relevan. “Polisi Insurans Pengguna” bermaksud kontrak insurans yang dibuat, diubah, atau diperbaharui oleh individu sepenuhnya untuk tujuannya sendiri yang tidak berkaitan dengan perdagangan, perniagaan atau profesion individu tersebut.

Polisi Insurans bukan Pengguna ialah polisi selain daripada Polisi Insurans Pengguna.

• Had indemniti yang sesuai diambil.

• Deduktible – amaun yang perlu ditanggung oleh Pihak Diinsuranskan sekiranya berlaku tuntutan

• Insurans ini tertakluk kepada Waranti Premium selama 60 hari, iaitu premium yang perlu dibayar mesti dibayar dan diterima oleh Kami dalam tempoh enam puluh (60) hari dari permulaan. Jika gagal, polisi akan dibatalkan secara automatik dan premium pro-rata selama 60 hari berhak kepada Kami. Sekiranya berlaku sebarang kejadian yang berkemungkinan menimbulkan tuntutan, Anda perlu memberi notis bertulis kepada Kami tentang tuntutan tersebut secepat mungkin selepas ia sampai kepada pengetahuan Anda. 您对我们的非消费者保险政策的责任

由于本保单并非消费者保险,在本保单合同订立、变更或续签之前,您有义务向我们披露以下任何事项:

(a) 您知道与我们决定是否接受风险以及适用的费率和条款有关; 或者

(b) 在这种情况下,一个通情达理的人应该知道是相关的。 “消费者保险单”是指个人完全出于个人目的而订立、变更或续签的保险合同,与个人的行业、业务或职业无关。

非消费者保险单是消费者保险单以外的保单。

• 采用适当的赔偿限额。

• 免赔额——发生索赔时由被保险人承担的金额

• 本保险受 60 天保费保证的约束,即我们必须在保险生效后六十 (60) 天内支付和收取应付保费。 否则,保单自动取消,我们有权获得 60 天按比例计算的保费。 如果发生任何可能引起索赔的事件,您必须在得知此类索赔后尽快以书面形式通知我们此类索赔。 以上是保单某些主要条款和条件的总结,并非详尽无遗。 请阅读保单合同以了解保险的完整条款和条件。 

What are the major exclusions under this policy?


This policy does not cover legal liability arising out of or in connecting to, such as:• Aircraft products;• Asbestos;• Damage to impaired property or property not physically damaged;• Fines, penalties, punitive & exemplary damages;• Nuclear energy;• Personal Injury to an employee;• Fines, penalties, punitive & exemplary damages;This list is non-exhaustive and not for all the sections. Please refer to the sample policy contract for the full list of exclusions.

This insurance does not apply: 

a) Bodily injury or property damage arising out of deliberate, willful, or intentional non-compliance with any statutory provisions. 

b) Bodily injury or property damage arising out of goods sold/supplied which does not comply with national standards or required standards of the country in which they are sold or exported. 

c) Any loss, cost or expenses incurred for the loss of use, withdrawal, recall, inspection, repair, replacement, adjustment, removal, or disposal of the product. 

d) Any liability arising from any Product Guarantee or Product Warranty given by or on behalf of the insured. 

e) Any liability caused by the failure of the product to fulfill its intended function or use. 

f) Any liability arising directly or indirectly as a consequence of the willful or professional negligence of the Insured. 

g) Any liability out of all personal injuries such as libel, slander, defamation,etc. 

h) Any liability arising out of infringement of plans, copyright, patent, trademark, or registered design. (Note: This list is non-exhaustive. Please refer to the policy for the full list of exclusions under this policy.)

b) 因销售/供应的商品不符合国家标准或销售或出口国要求的标准而造成的人身伤害或财产损失。

c) 因无法使用、撤回、召回、检查、修理、更换、调整、移除或处置产品而产生的任何损失、成本或费用。

d) 由被保险人或代表被保险人作出的任何产品保证或产品保修引起的任何责任。

e) 因产品未能实现其预定功能或用途而引起的任何责任。

f) 由于被保险人的故意或职业疏忽而直接或间接引起的任何责任。

g) 诽谤、诽谤、毁谤等人身伤害的任何责任。

h) 因侵犯计划、版权、专利、商标或注册设计而产生的任何责任。 (注意:此列表并非详尽无遗。有关本政策下的完整排除列表,请参阅政策。) 

Can I cancel my policy?

You may cancel the policy by giving written notice to the Insurer. Upon cancellation, You will be refunded 70% of the pro-rated premium for the unexpired period of insurance.


Anda boleh membatalkan polisi dengan memberikan notis bertulis kepada Penanggung Insurans. Selepas pembatalan, Anda akan dikembalikan 70% daripada premium pro-rata untuk tempoh insurans yang belum tamat. 

您可以通过向保险公司发出书面通知来取消保单。 取消后,您将获得未到期保险期间按比例计算的保费的 70% 退还。 

What do I need to do if there are changes to my contact / personal details?

It is important that you inform your insurance intermediary or us of any change in your contact details to ensure that all correspondences reach you in a timely manner.
