1. Read Chapters One and Two of To Kill a Mockingbird. (pages 1-22) (Due September 6, Midweek)

2. Using full and complete sentences answer questions 1-10 for both chapters. (Submit only your answers, not the questions.)

3. For each vocabulary word provide a definition and two sentences, one from the chapter and another either from your imagination or from the web.

4. Finish copying your poetry and grammar notes from Week One.

5. Copy the rest of your notes from Week Two.

6. Week Two Grammar Notes.

7. Read your novel or independent reading book silently.

Our Week Two Vocabulary Test will be on Thursday/Friday.

There will be a notebook and classwork points check on Thursday/Friday.

Besides reading To Kill a Mockingbird, you will choose your own book for independent reading by Show Me Your Book Day (September 6th), and you will write an in-class book report about your book on October 4th.
