Hello.
I am from Scientists' Cliffs, Maryland. I was raised in a small community/Land Trust founded by plant pathologists, later inhabited by teachers, scientists and artists. I came to RISD by way of Tucson, AZ and Telluride, CO where I worked exploring the San Juan mountains and the blue waters of the Grand Canyon.
I'm a grad student in Industrial Design. At the moment, I am inspired by the work of Link Wray, Alexandra Kehayoglou, Christopher Alexander and the urban experiment Arcosanti.
What about Nature, Data and Narrative?
Nature takes no breaks and is inescapable, even though people treat it like something they need to seek out or look for. I understand data to be a collection of information regarding a driving question. As to narrative, if I can read it and comprehend it (whether the medium is visual, written, audio, etc. ) then I recognize the presence of narrative.
