Greetings!
I’m Jen Spatz, a 2.5 year MID student beginning my 2nd year of study.
Before RISD I worked as an art educator at schools and museums in and around New York City. I taught children how to look at art and use the springs from click pens to make bobble heads.
Before I began teaching I studied fine art at Cooper Union. I made huge paintings and a sculpture of the letter I.
I believe that nature is the patterns that surround us- of which we often only appreciate the edges.
-that data is the organization of the observed or apparent phenomena.
-that narrative is output that considers human psychology.
I am inspired by the works of Alexander Calder, Eva Zeisel, and Isamu Noguchi
Here is my portfolio circa 2015 (changes to come)
