Hello hello! My name is Molly and I'm a Junior in ID from Southern Rhode Island.
I spent my summer working for Core77 in NYC creating social media campaigns, collecting data and writing articles. Through this I realized I'm not particularly interested in product design, although that's what I've been learning the most about so far in the department. I'm passionate about how design can be used in ways to communicate information that will influence public policy and change outdated societal norms. I'm also interested in how sociology interacts with structures and unique material applications/innovations.
Outside of classes I love being involved in the RISD community. I'm Co-President of RISD Quickies, the RISD Gym Programming Manager, help run/am enrolled in the RISD Leads program and am a member of ID Blog. When I'm not running around finishing work for classes or extracurriculars, I enjoy yoga, exploring the outdoors and eating chocolate chip cookies.
I'm inspired by people who smile at strangers in passing, ID Blog creator Carly Ayres and RISD Professors Damian White and Ken Horii.
