For my midterm project I intend to design a tilt sensor that sits atop my head and measures the amount of time I spend looking straight ahead, up, and down. I am not particularly interested in posture. Rather, I'd like take note of how little (or how much) I spend making big efforts to better observe my surroundings- and in what circumstances this occurs.Â
Thus far my plan is to design a tilt sensor using a ball bearing, a tube, and a couple male headers. This device will clip to the hair on the top of my head and record it's motion.
I am also considering ways i might use sensors to track the left to right motion of my head throughout the day. I have noticed that wrinkles form on the side of my neck, near my jawline, as my head turns. This may be a good area to place a sensor.
