Hello!
My name is Alara Alkan and I’m a junior in Furniture Design from Turkey. I have dedicated myself to a diverse academic regiment through out my first two years of college. I am mostly focusing on cognitive sciences and thus I hope to apply my experiences to situations and problems.
Currently, I am engaged with topics such as inferential and direct perception, perception of the 3D environment, visual control of action, dynamics of motor coordination, and self-organization of behavior. I am also interested in activities and behavior patterns that are based off of agent-environment systems rather than preconceived computational and representational views of everyday environments and objects.
One tiny thing about me, is that I get overly excited about squirrels!!
Nature - Interconnected visuals and physical stimulants for living things to perceive and interact with.
Data - Collection of processed information.
Narrative - The context and representation of the collected information of any kind.
In the context of the course I’m mostly inspired by Nathalie Miebach.
