Teaching As Inquiry

Collaborative Inquiry is a powerful design for professional learning and recognises the role of teachers as change agents in on-going school improvement. Teachers are supported by management and their peers to prioritise what and how they teach based on the needs of their students.

This requires:

  • ongoing and regular formative practice

  • goal setting

  • visible and collaborative teaching and learning

  • development of new knowledge and competencies

  • robust discussion

  • reflection on teaching impact

In 2017 our school-wide focus is Accelerated Progress in Mathematics (refer to document, Teaching as Inquiry 2017, for more information)

Teachers will set an individual focus within this based on 2016 reflections and beginning of 2017 data. Then a termly cycle follows.
