Youtube Configuration

This page applies only to staff who need a Youtube Channel

Our preferred storage of completed creative content, wherever possible, is the learner's own Google Drive.

• Teachers of Y1 - Y2 learners do not need a Youtube Channel

• Team 3 have a Team Youtube Channel administered by the Team Leader. Team 3 teachers can organise use via their Team Leader

• Teachers of learners who use ChromeBooks as their core learning device may discover a need for a Youtube Channel, particularly if the learners are wanting to embed learner created movies into Google Presentations

• In this case the teacher will clear this need with their Team Leader then ask the school GAFE Admin/s for an account for their class. All accounts will follow the naming convention:

  • room3@ptengland.school.nz

  • the password will need to be reset at intervals from time to time

• Unless requested by management, teachers must not remove videos from this channel

• Notifications to the teacher email address must be turned on

• All videos should be unlisted

• teachers will need to check on notifications daily

• only teachers and a very small number of trusted trained monitors should have and use this account
