Inquiring Students Want To Know WHY!

Many students have done many unsafe and unkind things. Currently, many students at DDEMS are interrupting students learning, eating in class, pulling fire alarms, cursing out teachers and administration, bullying other students, and even walking out of class. The main question is: WHY?

Is it because of a medical issue? Do they want everyone else to fail because they are? Do they hate the world that much? Do they even care about others? Is something going on in their lives causing it? Where did they learn these behaviors as acceptable?

The students want to know why they do not seem to be suspended or expelled! They are always back at school. The students aren’t seeing that there is any punishment for inappropriate behavior… so can we all act like that? Will we get in trouble? What about those who want to learn and make something of their life? What about those that are scared to come to school? What about their parents? Can they do anything?

Students want answers. Many students are noticing that the punishments are not balanced. Students who do these unsafe and disruptive acts daily are not appearing to be punished whilst the first timers are getting stronger punishments. Can’t we all make a mistake now and then?

TELL US THE ANSWERS….PLEASE

“All it takes for evil to happen is for good people to do nothing.” When are we going to do something as students? When is the school going to do something for us and our school? What and where is the answer???
