Research Administration

The Research Administration division of Research & Graduate Studies is responsible for the development and implementation of administrative, financial and, compliance policies and procedures in response to rapidly evolving state and federal laws and regulations in areas associated with carrying out research and sponsored projects activities. The division oversees and facilitates PSU’s compliance with new and existing federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations, as well as institutional policies governing research and scholarly activities.

Sponsored Projects Administration

The Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA) unit within Research and Graduate Studies (RGS) serves as the central administrative unit at PSU responsible for assisting faculty and staff with activities related to the lifecycle of sponsored project administration. SPA staff provides administrative expertise and professional support to faculty and staff from proposal development and submission, through award negotiation and acceptance on behalf of the University, to award management and closeout.

Research Integrity & Compliance Programs

Research and Graduate Studies (RGS) supports PSU’s compliance with regulations governing research activities through the development and management of research integrity and compliance programs in specified areas. Staff from Research Integrity & Compliance programs provide support to investigators andPSU committees responsible for regulatory compliance reviews and determinations for University research.

RGS collaborates with PSU’s office of Environmental Health & Safety for matters related to compliance with chemical hygiene, laboratory safety and radiation safety requirements.
