You should have achieved 167 Practise food safety methods in a food business under supervision from HOS 2, or Leader of Learning Area/Curriculum Leader Approval
This course follows on from Level 2 Hospitality with emphasis on practical food preparation skills. Students work towards the art of making coffee and catering unit standards. The work includes hygiene, safety, food preparation to catering standards. There will be opportunities to participate in authentic Catering events for experience on offer as well.
Students are required to have flat, black, closed leather shoes for kitchen safety, all health and safety procedures must be adhered to as part of the assessment process and industry standards.
This course leads to further study and careers in hospitality, catering, coffee-making, and event management.
