This Level 3 History Course provides you with an opportunity to learn about key turning points of Aotearoa New Zealand and World History. You will explore Aotearoa New Zealand's own story of the New Zealand Land Wars to understand the balance of power, resistance, and building relationships between the British Crown and Māori in Aotearoa. This is a key part of Aotearoa New Zealand's History and has had a lasting impact on our national identity. You will then be able to explore the Bombing of Hiroshima, understand the importance of understanding differing perspectives, and how this action reshaped global politics. You will have the opportunity to develop strong research skills, analytical writing skills, and interpretation skills, helping you to understand the contested natures of histories and to build your own interpretation based on historical evidence.
