To have gained Level 1 Literacy, and have taken a literacy based semester subject in Year 11.

This course will be assessed through three internal individual assessments and a choice of one external assessment.
Topics
Polyfest and Pacific in Aotearoa New Zealand
Students will be exploring Polyfest and how this event helps showcase different values represented in the Pacific. They will have the opportunity to gain credits through Pacific Studies itself or will be able to explore the opportunity of Geography Assessment through this Pacific lens.
Pacific Paradise - Tourism in the Pacific
Students will explore the importance and economic benefits of tourism in the Pacific, while also exploring its impacts on social, political, and environmental actions and reactions.
Stories of the Pacific
Students will have the opportunity to look at myths and legends of the Pacific and understand their meanings, values, and relation to life today.
Will there be any FAO? (Further Assessment Opportunities)
No, there will be no opportunities to complete any Further Assessment Opportunities in Pacific Studies.
Will there be resubmissions?
Resubmissions will only be allowed that take a student from a Not Achieved to an Achieved grade.
