Podcasts

What are podcasts? Podcasts are like radio programs, but you get to play them when you want, sort of like streaming movies rather than watching them at a certain time. Also, they are like episodes of a TV series...a "Podcast" is the title of a show, and the episodes are number and/or named, just like in TV shows.

As of this past summer, there are 2.4 million different podcasts with 66 million episodes among them. They are on all different genres: comedy, fiction, non-fiction, news, music, biography, history, etc. And they are on all different subjects: true crime, soccer, Kpop, Minnesota, government, space, and hundreds more.

To earn READING points, listen to a podcast of your choice (some options are listed below, but you're not limited to these) and complete the Podcast Listening packet here. Note: some of the work you do BEFORE you start listening. Paper copies are located by the newspapers in the blue room on the shelf under the white board.

You can earn up to 4 points per episode for a job well done and complete answers.

There are also coloring sheets to doodle on while you're listening to help you focus--and podcast themed! Just ask me to get you some!
