IMPORTANT: Equipment funded or purchased by outside organizations (Donors Choose, donations, grants, etc.) is considered to be the property of the Oklahoma City Public School District and will remain with that employee at their site, until they leave. If the employee moves to another site within the district or leaves to work in another public school district, permission to move the materials must be obtained from their supervising administrator.
Software received through DonorsChoose.org must complete the required review process prior to acceptance and deployment.
Hardware received through DonorsChoose.org must meet OKCPS-IT department specifications (see the OKCPS Technology Purchasing Guide). Recipients are responsible for properly securing these devices. All approved devices must be delivered to the Client Services department for proper setup, asset management, and etching.
Apple products may now be requested as long as they are 9th Generation or above (which should be about all of them now).
At this time, our district DOES NOT support Android devices connected to our network.
This includes any Android, Kindle or other variation of the Android Operating System. This operating system does not comply with the security protocol on our network and therefore will not be considered for use as a networkable device.
Please note: Each individual Chromebook requires the additional purchase of a management console license. This can be requested in your initial grant request through DonorsChoose.org as they are offered by the same companies that offer the Chromebooks. Donation recipients are responsible for acquiring funding for this cost. Please see the Chromebooks section for current costs.
