It was great seeing so many students and families at Open House!! If I missed seeing you, below is a

copy of the handout that includes dates, etc. Here are some of the important notes to know:

VICTORY Big Band on Mondays & Thursdays: Clouse, Kramer, Krichau, Rench, Sullivan

INTEGRITY Big Band on Tuesdays & Fridays: Friesen, Hollingsworth, Pelzer, Perington, Ramthun

Aug. 24 Any NEW to Norwalk 5th graders that have not tried out band instruments yet will come to the

band room to “test-drive” instruments, they will get the opportunity to play several instruments

and see which one fits them the best and make a quality sound. Parent info will be sent home

that day.

Aug. 29 First day of band lessons for these instruments in Victory & Integrity:

** french horn, euphonium, tuba & percussion

Aug. 30 First day of band lessons for Victory: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone

Aug. 31 First day of band lessons for Integrity: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone

Starting the week of Sept. 17 students will have 1 weekly lesson in a small group for 20 minutes and 2 Big Band practices from 2:30-3:10 on the days listed above.

** Students will need an instrument, band book and supplies for their first lesson **

Students using school instruments - Paper contracts will be sent home Aug. 23 or 24, please sign and return to Mrs. Menke. Starting Aug. 27 - instruments can be taken home as soon the paper contract has been returned.
