Music T-Shirts
We are ordering Lakewood Music t-shirts for the band and honor choir!! The design was voted by students, is a purple t-shirt costing $6.00 and will be worn at the Spring Band Concert (May 8), Honor Choir spring tour and Band Assembly on the last day of school. Solo Festival
Solo Festival is this March 3! Students have been busy working on their music - getting ready for their performance on Saturday or videotaping at their band lesson. It has been great seeing their confidence in playing grow in learning new concepts, notes, rhythms through their solo.
Please click HERE for the most current lesson schedule. Click HERE for the information sheet about the day - when to be there, where to go, etc. Here are a couple key points:
* arrive early (Norwalk Middle School) - parking lot will be full due to 8 other schools participating
* students should dress to impress
* go to the gym to warm-up and leave cases, coats, folder - only bring instrument & solo music to center
* signs will show you how to find Center 3 and 6 classrooms
* students are encourage to listen to the student before and after them to support them
* ratings will not be posted - we are focusing on our growth and what we have learned through this opportunity!
