I am busy getting the band room ready for the next group of 5th grade band students! Please stop by during Open House!

Here is what 5th graders can expect the first days of school:

Aug. 23 - 1st day of school! All 5th graders will come to the band room for a short band introduction and instrument demonstration.

Aug. 24 - all 5th graders will come to the band room with their class to “test-drive” instruments with the Norwalk Band staff, they will get the opportunity to play several instruments and see which one fits them the best and make a quality sound. Information will be sent home that day.

Aug. 25 - students who are interested in percussion will have the opportunity to try-out by demonstrating rhythm reading skills and steady beat, students will be notified of the decision before the end of the school day.

Aug. 28 - Band Rental Night (6:30-8:00 PM) Rieman Music will be available to rent/buy instruments and also purchase the band book and necessary instrument supplies.

Aug. 30/Sept. 1 - First day of band lessons!! Students will need instrument for their first lesson ☺
