Bone List

Human Osteology Practicum

The Human Osteology Practicum will take place during your lab session. There will be a series of station, each with one or more bones. At most stations you will be asked one or two questions. Questions could be simply "what bone is this?" or more complex "which of these bones is anterior to the other?", using any of the bones, features, or terms below. I do not grade down for misspelling, unless I cannot tell which bone was meant. For example: I would accept "tibia", "tubia", or "tibbia", as correct answers, but I would not accept "fibia", because that could be either "fibula" or "tibia". You will receive a word bank to use during your lab practicum.
