OPTIONAL Textbook

Welcome to Spring semester! I look forward to seeing all of you next week. Before then, I have an important announcement: last semester I forgot to give the UMM book store the information about the OPTIONAL class textbook. I'm posting this now so you have the opportunity to buy the book if you wish.

What do I mean by OPTIONAL? This class uses a mastery or specifications grading system. Essentially, what grade you want in the class will determine how many essays and exams you will take. (If you want more detailed information, you can find it on the grading policies page. The textbook is only necessary for those students who want to earn an A in the class.

Again, you only need to buy the textbook if you wish to earn an A in the class.

The textbook is: The Alternative Introduction to Biological Anthropology, by Jonathan Marks, published in 2010 by Oxford University Press. You should be able to find it on any on-line seller. If you run into problems, please let me know.

tl;dr: only buy the textbook, "The Alternative Introduction to Biological Anthropology" by Jonathan Marks if you want an A.
