InstaSlide is a software to share folders of virtual slides instantly with remote parties. It supports sharing tiled TIFF files and SVS files (only SVS files based on JPG, not JPG2000 compression)
Caution: The scans are only available while InstaSlide is running and the computer is connected to the internet.
A. Install
The online installer will automatically check for updates at startup and requires an internet connection during installation.
Download and run the setup from https://get.microvisioneer.com/insta2025/default/setup.exe
The offline installer does not need internet connection and does not check for updates. Recommended for LAN/VPN version installations
Download, unzip and run the setup.exe: https://get.microvisioneer.com/insta2025/InstaSlide_2025o_offline.zipÂ
At the first startup, InstaSlide will ask to provide a valid license file.
B. Sharing folders of scans
InstaSlide cannot share individual scans. It shares folders of virtual slides as a website. Therefore, you have to drag a folder of scans onto InstaSlide to get the corresponding sharing URL.
To copy a URL to clipboard you have to click on it. Then, you can paste it to any messenger or email program on your computer to share it.
The URLs will be valid even after the restart of the computer. So if you work with the same remote experts regularly, you can share a working folder with them once.
The process is shown in this video:
C. Adding scans to shared folders
If you add new scans to a shared folder (e.g. by scanning them and storing them in the same folder), these scans are immediately available to a remote party.
The remote expert simply has to reload the website.
D. Ensuring that shared scans are accessible
