If you are not sure if your computer meets the minimum requirements, use these instructions to open "system information" on Windows and send a screenshot of this to Microvisioneer for a quick reliable check.
Find out which Windows version is running on a computer by following these instructions.
This software is x64 only and will only work on 64 bit operating systems.
Portable Computers:
- If you have to use a portable computer, make sure it is equipped with an Intel quad-core processor (e.g i7 8550U, i7 8750H or newer ) or AMD Ryzen 3000 series or newer and 8GB RAM.
Using Microvisioneer manualWSI on a Mac:
- Microvisioneer manualWSI is not compatible with Mac OS. It requires a Windows Operating System.
- It is possible to install and run Windows Apps on Macs with Intel processors via a software called Parallels. It runs Windows in a virtual machine on Mac OS. By default, this will be slow for scanning because Parallels only assigns limited resources to that virtual machine. Change it to at least 4 processing cores and at least 4 Gigabytes of RAM.
- Additionally, you have to configure Parallels to make the camera available to the virtual Windows System.
- Another way is to install Windows directly on the Mac. Apple provides a tool called Bootcamp to simplify that process. With Bootcamp, every time you start your Mac, you can choose if you want to start Mac OS or Windows.
- Both above-mentioned ways are not supported for Macs with the new M1 and M2 processors.
