For some setups, it makes sense to crop the readout region of the camera sensor to hide bad optical image quality at the borders of the camera image.
This step by step guide adjusts the sensor's region of interest for Basler cameras. This is not done via the scanning software but the separate camera adjustment software provided by the camera manufacturer.
0. Make sure to close the scanning software before the adjustment
1. Start the Basler pylon software.
2. Select and connect the camera.
3. Select the Guru Setting in the Feature tree on the right
4. Load camera settings that are currently stored in the camera
5. Adjust the sensor's read out region (or ROI: region of interest). Make sure to only set values divisible by 32 otherwise the scanning software will crash!
Optional: Rotate the camera image by 180 degrees by checking/unchecking ReverseX AND ReverseY options
6. Store settings in the camera
