For manualWSI 2020 and 2022, Microvisioneer offers an optional fluroescence scanning add-on.
The video below demonstrates the steps to create a preset for fluorescence scanning and the scanning process itself.
1. Activate Fluorescence Scan Mode to unlock longer exposure times that are required for fluorescence scanning
2. Adjust the image and store the preset. Do not use the automatic image adjustment(magic wand button).
3. In the shading compensation section click the "+" button to create new compensation data that is stored with the objective preset.
4. Unfocus the slide significantly and follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Scan the slide in a move-stop-move-stop way as shown in the video
6. If the result does not meet your expectations, try again with a gamma value between 0.5 and 0.7 and without a shading compensation. Delete existing compensations and skip the shading compensation with the double arrow button.
