Core iPad Apps

iPads offer many options to students and teachers. There are a number of apps for each activity type. Below is a list of specific activities/projects and apps that support learning. This list is not exhaustive, but these are recommended options for each activity/project type. It is recommended that you have at least one app for each activity type on your iPads. It's a great idea to check the options out prior to having your students use the app, but don't feel like you have to know all of the ins and outs of how each app works. Your students will figure it out given some guidance in exploration of the apps.

Recommended Core Apps

There are a number of apps that we recommend considering for iPads that can be used by students. There are positive and negative things about all apps, so you just have to see what works for you. Paid apps generally have few (or no) advertisements and may have more functionality, however, you may find that what the free version offers is enough for what you want to do.
