Committee Description and Goals:
This committee’s work supports student learning by:
Helping faculty identify and adopt high-quality open educational resources to facilitate their teaching.
Identifying Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) course sections, mapping them to the degrees and certificates of the college, and publishing this information for current and prospective students.
Identifying gaps in OER development and accessing state and local funding sources to address these gaps.
Recommending policies and procedures that can lead to long-term sustainable OER/ZTC programs at the college, reducing textbook burdens for students to support the successful attainment of their academic goals.
Promoting culturally responsive and anti-racist pedagogy using OER.
Membership:
Voting Members
Unlimited number of seats for students, instructional faculty from across the curriculum (no more than 2 per department), counselors, classified staff, and administrators; at least one designated seat for a librarian
