About Dr. Pollina
Inventor's Kit
Topic: Circuitry
SMART GOAL SPECIFIC SENTENCE:
I will learn about
Computer Science
using S
parkfun Inventor's Kit
HOW TO SAVE:
Put all loose pieces back in the kit box > Place your kit on top of the white lid > Put it back on the shelf
What is Arduino?
Click
HERE
for more information on Arduino and its programming useĀ
Also, read the first few pages of the instruction booklet in the kit
Get through the first 4 circuits before moving on to the LED strip!
What I'll Learn
I CAN
understand circuits and why they are needed for electronics
I CAN
build circuits from instructions and understand their uses
I CAN
create my own circuits using available parts!
Stuff I'll Need
Sparkfun Inventor's
Kit
Tutorials to learn the tools
Patience and resilience to push through
Day 1
Learn the tools, follow the tutorial for Circuit 1, swap the LEDs for different colors
Day 3
Finish with Circuit 4 and move on to the LED strip challenge
Day 2
Move on to Circuits 2 & 3. Make sure the LEDs work. Follow the instructions!
Day 4
Try to
wire a button and combine the LED animations
Programming an LED Strip
Follow the instructions on this site to get started! -->
LED STRIP ANIMATIONS WITH ARDUINO
More animation files!
https://www.tweaking4all.com/hardware/arduino/adruino-led-strip-effects/
Here is the code with ALL animations in one! It will show you how to wire a button

Where is this used in the World?
Electronics
All electronics have circuits inside of them to connect to each other for the screen, controls, and processing to work together
Robotics
Most robots run off circuitry and coding
Electronic Music
Electronic music uses circuits and splitters to create interesting soundwaves
