The Kearney Chapter of FBLA kicked off the month with our Business Achievement Awards Night, and shortly after we had the pleasure of listening to a very special speaker, Matt Meister, who taught us valuable lessons in communicating with others and effective leadership skills. On October ninth we were able to serve our classmates by compiling and all of the trash around our school. We took our group picture on the 24th which you will be able to find in our school yearbook.

UNK´s ¨New Venture Adventure¨ proved to be an incredibly fun challenge to our members Ben Soria, Kylee Sponenburgh, Joshua Pierson, Addison Kinniman, and Courtney Rowedder. Through this exciting exploit we utilized skills absolutely necessary to start and run a successful business whether it be in retail, manufacturing, wholesale, etc. Our creative engines roared as we raced to come up with a product to sell and market, all the while we connected with members from various other schools and organizations. Lastly, FBLA attended the Trick or Treat Food Drive along with FCA, FCCLA, and many other organizations. We all tried our hardest to collect canned goods across the Kearney Area to go to local food shelters. The competitive spirit led Kearney High School to a new record in canned food with over 1,000 lbs and a fantastic end to an even better month!
