One of the goals of the Behavior Intervention Team is to decimate Behavior Analysis through the training and ongoing supervision of those that are seeking or maintaining credentials through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) are paraprofessionals that have completed 40 hours of training, demonstrated competency with skills when working with students, and have pass a Registered Behavior Technician exam. RBTs assist in delivering behavior analysis services and practice under the direction and close supervision of The Behavior Intervention Specialist. Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCABA) have taken college coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis, have passed an exam, and provide behavior analytic services under the direction of The Behavior Intervention Specialist. Both Registered Behavior Technicians and Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts require ongoing supervision for at least 5% of their time working with students.Â
