A parent who decides to homeschool must turn in a Initial Registration Form to the student's resident school Superintendent:
*By October 1 of the first year after reaching age 7
*Within 15 days of withdrawing a child from a public school to homeschool
In subsequent years, the parent turns in a Letter of Intent to Continue to Provide Instruction by October 1 of each year.
Forms and other Home School information can be obtained from the Minnesota Department of Education.
