Family and Consumer Science (FACS) helps students build and apply problem-solving, decision-making, critical thinking, literacy, and math skills in everyday life situations. Emphasis is on promoting healthy lifestyle choices through nutrition, food preparation techniques, personal development, relationships, housing choices, and textile basics. Students learn to synthesize knowledge from multiple sources, work cooperatively and strengthen employment skills through hands-on and traditional classroom experiences.

Becker High School students also have an opportunity to gain work-based experience by enrolling in a course taught at the Early Childhood Center located in the Becker Primary School.
