In order to provide for the development in students of the Social and Academic Behaviors critical for their future success, the Becker School District has articulated and aligned K-12 curriculum in these areas. Most of these skills (listed below) are taught and learned best in an informal and 'as needed' manner throughout the school day. However, we know that student success will be enhanced if intentional time is spent teaching these and students are provide opportunity to discuss and practice. It is also important to provide additional opportunity for students to learn and develop these when needed.

As with academic curriculum programming is organized into tiers of instruction and intervention.
Tier 1 is equivalent to core curriculum in the area of academics. This curriculum is taught to all students at a grade level.
Tier 2 is provided for students who need additional targeted support with the classroom teacher, a behavior specialist, social worker, or other trained individual.
If a student is not showing progress in Tier 1 and 2 a student may be referred to Tier 3 for more intensive problem solving.
