Deputy Director of Certificate Programs
Amber Farn joined CJJR in April 2015. In her current role as Deputy Director of Certificate Programs, she oversees the operation and expansion of Center’s multi-system training portfolio. In collaboration of subject matter experts, Amber works with system leaders to develop training curriculum designed to address specific issues in juvenile justice.
Prior to joining CJJR, Amber volunteered for AmeriCorps in Philadelphia and worked as an Applied Behavior Analysis therapist for children with developmental disorders. She is a (new) mom of an opinionated toddler, and has a passion for statistics.
Amber received her B.S. in Psychology from University of Maryland, College Park; M.Ed in Counseling and Mental Health Services from University of Pennsylvania; and M.S. in Mathematics and Statistics from Georgetown University.
Program Coordinator
Christine Humowitz joined CJJR in January 2021 as a Research Assistant. In her current role as a Program Coordinator, Christine supports the Certificate Program team with program logistics and the Fellows Network. She earned her M.A. in American Government from Georgetown University, where she wrote her thesis on the adultification of youth with varying identities regarding race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender expression and identity, and socioeconomic status. She received her B.A. magna cum laude from Clemson University, majoring in political science and English and minoring in religious studies.
